Salon Joose Studio is an artist collaborative space located at 601 North 3rd Street in Northern Liberties, Philadelphia. EXHIBIT DESCRIPTION: Seven women directed by their creative passions. The experiences that they have encountered as women artists in their individual moments in history may have been similar or drastically different. Either way, those experiences molded them into the strong women they are today, and have contributed to the unique body of works each one produces. This exhibit aims to bridge the creative gaps of inspiration through dialogue, while unveiling paths and barriers that have helped define each woman as an artist. All creative women of strength have a common bond. They are mothers, daughters, wives, entrepreneurs, employees, and they are artists. What is the secret formula to doing it all? Let us expose it, learn from it and grow from it, so that our budding artists are motivated to do the same. This exhibit will empower and inspire other creative minds to, not only push forward, but become forward thinkers and pioneers, regardless of the worldly issues we (collectively) face or are personally impacted by.
